Meet The Owner
Adrienne has a passion for creating sustainable, healthy, and active communities by implementing transportation and parks projects. It was this passion that led her to found Smart Moves Consulting.
Previously, Adrienne was a transportation planner for the Wilmington Metropolitan Planning Organization and started the Wilmington region’s Go Coast program.
Additionally, Adrienne served as UNC Wilmington’s Transportation Manager before joining Gotcha (a micro-transit service company) as their Director of University and Government Affairs.
Adrienne started Smart Moves Consulting in 2018 and has LOVED being a business owner and working on public projects across the country. She earned a degree in Geography and Community Regional Planning from Appalachian State University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Adrienne lives in Wilmington, NC with her husband, Chris, and their two boys. She loves to travel and wants to see all the National Parks in the U.S. She enjoys spending time with her family, coaching her kids’ basketball teams, going to the beach, and road trips to the NC mountains. She loves being outdoors – bike rides, long walks, kayaking, etc. – and feels fortunate to own and manage a business that implements public projects that allow others to do more of those same activities.
